Art Grants Core
Art Grant Lead Responsibilities
- Give away lots of money to artists in our community!
- Organize and lead meetings
- Take in volunteers to vote on the grants
- Attend meetings to make grant decisions
- Field questions and enforce policies related to how money can be distributed and what art will work at Firefly
- Keep accurate records and timetables for financial and legal reasons
- Ensure that public information about grants is accurate and up to date
Who makes a good Art Grant Lead?
Location
Remote is fine.
Schedule
February-July: meetings 2-4 times per month.
As needed: Field questions, keep up with the core's Discord, review proposals.
No responsibilities during Firefly.
Experience
Firefly experience is required.
Skills
- Sending and receiving lots of emails
- Organize and lead meetings
- Staying on top of many rolling deadlines
- Understanding the unique logistical challenges of bringing art to Firefly
- Ruby on Rails is a bonus, as the core maintains their own portal
